Product Safety Update: Former SnoreStop® Nasal Spray
An Important Update Regarding a Product Discontinued in 2024
In June 2024, Green Pharmaceuticals Inc. initiated a voluntary nationwide recall of one lot of SnoreStop® Nasal Spray after testing identified potential microbial contamination.
We acted immediately and cooperated with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) throughout the recall process.
The recall involved SnoreStop Nasal Spray, a product that was discontinued and removed from sale in 2024.
Our current SnoreStop® products, including our Oral Spray and Chewable Tablets, were not part of this recall.
What Happened
Out of an abundance of caution:
- We immediately recalled the identified lot.
- We launched a comprehensive internal investigation.
- We tested retained samples of the affected lot.
- We tested all other lots currently in distribution.
- All additional testing returned clean results.
Despite these additional test results, we maintained the recall because consumer safety comes first. We do not take risks when it comes to the health of our customers.
Importantly:
There was no customer complaints related to this lot.
There were no adverse events reported for this lot or any other lot on the market.
Our Safety Record
SnoreStop® has been helping families since 1995.
Throughout nearly 30 years in business and regular FDA inspections, this was the only incident of its kind in our company's history.
We take that record seriously, but we also believe a company's commitment to safety is demonstrated by how it responds when an issue does arise.
When this issue was identified, we acted immediately, investigated it thoroughly, maintained the recall despite our additional testing results, and ultimately discontinued the product.
What We Changed
Following the 2024 recall, we took the opportunity to strengthen our manufacturing and quality-control processes even further.
We made the decision to move our entire production process to an FDA-registered, GMP-certified manufacturing facility operating under strict quality-control standards.
Are Current SnoreStop® Products Affected?
No.
The 2024 recall was specific to the former SnoreStop® Nasal Spray.
